Jumping

Into
the water
Sunshine
spilling over me
Sitting
on a large rock
Sunbathing
Basking
in the sun’s warm breath
Listening
to God’s creation
Little
creatures talking
The
river flows swiftly
This
is my happy place
A
retreat of retreats
Sitting
in stillness amongst creation
Whether
my life is in chaos
Or
chaos is swirling around me
I
can go anytime to my Happy Place
I
am in rest and communion
God’s
peace, joy, and love
His
glory surrounds me here
We,
as sons of God, are called
To
live in a world filled with drama
Yet,
learn not to engage it and be still
I
am ever learning all of this
A
slow process, to be sure
But
I practice more each day
I
live in my Happy Place
My
responses aren’t emotional
I
do not engage the emotions
My
filters have changed
More
objective in my responses
Because
I live in My Happy Place
