Deep beneath the earth
Under caverns
Of lava and molten
rock
A click – something moved
The ground rumbles
Shacking violently
Stirring
Animals stop and
listen
They feel the shaking
The stirring
More and more
pressure
Building
Pushing upward
The massive power
Pushing all
That’s in its way
Violently
The ground shakes
Moves
Explosively it breaks
through
Molten lava
Flowing
Burning – destruction
along the way
Beginning of
Restoration
All in its path
destroyed
Desolate – yet
Refining
After a time
New growth comes
Out of the desolation
From destruction
A new thing
Beauty out of ashes
Peace and restored
vegetation
Lesson:
Restoration comes from
a release of old
Once the old has
blown up – exploded
And the pressure-valve
released
Peace
Restoration is an ugly and messy process
Don’t romanticize it
There will be lots of
clean-up
Be ready to roll up
your sleeves
Work to help all heal
